Cure-ator and performer in the Room of Dissolution  for the series of  performance installations which took place at the Rites of Passage House, formerly the Women’s Club of the Berkshires.

 

2014, Reproductive Awakening: Narratives of Agency, MOWRE (Museum of Women In Resistance), Brooklyn, NY

 

Served as curatorial  consultant for this multi-media exhibition featuring emerging and established artists including Elaine Hargrove, Lorraine Natasha West, Kimabe Becoat , and Deborah Singletary.

 

2014, Women’s Herstory Group Exhibition, Freecandy Art Space, Brooklyn, NY

 

Curated, performed, and composed original score for a series of short performances exploring variations of Yoko Ono's instructional pieces from “Grapefruit: A Book of Instructions & Drawings”.

2012, Earth + Sky, Alley Pond Park, Queens, NY

Authored curatorial statement while serving as artist liaison, for Fluxus-based solo exhibition.

2008, Ancient Futures: The DNA of Cultures and Civilizations, Avant Yard in Association with MoCADA (Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts), Brooklyn, NY

​

Co-authored and coordinated educational programming for MoCADA’s historically well attended exhibition, featuring artists such as Jamel Shabazz, Danny Simmons, Jennifer Crute, and Francks Francoise Deceus.

Co-curated feminist multi-media exhibition featuring works by over 15 national and international women, including artists Marcia Jones, Kimberly Becoat and Ana Teresa Fernandez.

2021, [Virtual] MELT: Home Launch, Movement Research, New York, NY 

 

Presented original video collage: Storytelling for Wild Wolves: New Visions for 2021 & Beyond, for internationally active disability culture, activist, community performance artist, and Artistic Director of the Olimpia performance research collective. 

 

2019, Artists, Friends, & Lovers, Molasses Bookstore, Brooklyn, NY

 

Performed a reading of several personal letters to artists, friends and lovers against a slideshow backdrop of an originally composed video installation . 

 

2015, Summer Camp X, Poughkeepsie, NY

 

Performed  reinterpreted variations of Yoko Ono's instructional pieces from “Grapefruit: A Book of Instructions & Drawings”, on private land in nature for a multimedia artist summer camp.

Served as docent for Narratives of African American Art and Identity: The David C. Driskell Exhibition. Conducted research in postmodernism, African art and contemporary arts of the African Diaspora.

2011, Research Consultant/Moderator, Jean Michel Basquiat & Downtown 81 Wildseed Cultural Group Panel Discussion, Brooklyn, NY

Led research and moderated a discussion on Jean Michel Basquiat and black visibility in New York’s underground “No Wave” movement.

2010, Research Consultant, After the Dance: Conversations on Michael Jackson’s Black America, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

Led primary and secondary research for two-day forum on the impact of Michael Jackson’s public presence on the cultural experience of Africans in the Diaspora.
